Lincoln Durham - 3D Character Design + Animation - Snippy the Squirrel ✨

Lincoln embarked on a challenging yet creatively rewarding project: conceptualizing and bringing to life an entirely original character for SnipTV—a mischievous, cable-chewing squirrel named Snippy.

The process began with an exploration of character possibilities, resulting in a series of initial sketches that captured the essence of Snippy's playful yet destructive nature. After thorough deliberation and refining of these concepts, Lincoln transitioned to ZBrush, where he sculpted Snippy, paying close attention to every detail that would define his personality and visual identity.

Once the sculpting and colorization were perfected, the project advanced into the technical stages of rigging, texturing, and fur simulation, executed within Cinema 4D. This phase required a seamless integration of creative vision and technical precision, ensuring that Snippy not only looked lifelike but also moved with the organic fluidity expected of a fully realized 3D character.

The culmination of this detailed work was the final rendering, achieved through the capabilities of Redshift within Cinema 4D. Snippy emerged fully posed, exuding the charm and mischief envisioned from the outset, poised for his debut and with potential for future animation adventures.

When TRG Agency tapped Amy Mikler to shoot the Swensons campaign in Ohio, the ask was pretty specific. Make it feel real, but make it work. That's a harder brief than it sounds, because most photographers can do one or the other. Amy did both. The images came back warm and genuinely lived-in, the kind where you can't quite tell where the direction ended and the moment began, which is exactly the point. If you're building a campaign around real people doing real things and you need the images to actually land, that's Amy's territory.
