📸 George Kamper Captures the Vibrant Spirit of AVA Resort Cancun

George Kamper was commissioned to create a stunning library of stills and videos for the international and U.S. advertising and marketing campaign of the newly opened AVA Resort in Cancun, Mexico. The goal? To showcase a lively and diverse group enjoying the resort, moving beyond the traditional, posed luxury aesthetic. Before the shoot, George and his team explored every corner of the resort—despite ongoing construction—to fully capture its essence. While the polished tile floors, vast hallways, and architectural details were striking, it was the gracious staff and their attention to detail that truly brought warmth to the space. Guided by a detailed creative brief, reference images, and scout photos, George mapped out the visual narrative that would bring AVA Resort’s unique energy to life.

From navigating carnet paperwork for equipment to coordinating a seamless production schedule, the producer played a crucial role in executing this multi-day shoot. With seven duffels of wardrobe, carefully selected talent, and a mix of local and traveling crew, every detail was meticulously planned. However, unexpected challenges arose when a last-minute luxury convention altered lodging arrangements and limited location access.

Through early mornings, late nights, and constant movement, George and his team worked tirelessly to authentically capture the essence of AVA Resort. The final imagery reflects a world where people of all cultures and backgrounds come together in effortless enjoyment and relaxation. The result? A vibrant and inclusive visual story that showcases AVA Resort as a true destination for connection, spontaneity, and luxury.
