3D LOGO ANIMATION
TASTE OF GAME DAY + FRITO LAY + PEPSI + NFL
TracyLocke | Frito-Lay + NFL
TracyLocke, through Frito-Lay and the NFL, tasked Lincoln Durham with transforming a designed logo into a highly textured and fully editable 3D space. Using a combination of Cinema 4D and Illustrator, Lincoln crafted a logo that was not only editable but also animateable, allowing for flexibility across multiple versions of the project.
To achieve this, he employed live extruded vector shapes, ensuring that every element, from depth to bevels, remained quickly and easily adjustable. Detail renders highlight the intricate textures, dynamic lighting, and cinematic effects such as camera bokeh and lens streaks, created in C4D with Redshift.
Additional elements were built to enhance the logo’s energy. Initially locked within the design, they were later separated for ease of compositing. Notably, Lincoln constructed lightning out of vector shapes, bringing them into C4D and texturing them to glow as if each were its own light source. The editability of the final 3D logo allowed for efficient adaptations, including a seamless Spanish conversion.
